Indonesia-Thailand Student Network Camp 2009 (part 1)

First of all...
I just want to share my experience in here as one of participants in Indonesia-Thailand Student Network Camp 2009...(whoooaa...it's a pretty cool title, isn't it?hhaha..)
Okay,,,this activity actually was held by our Ministry of Nation Education or as we known as DIKNAS or DIKTI in UI at October 9th,2009...( is it any different between DIKNAS and DIKTI?anyway let's talk about it later..) The participants consist of 60 students from some of Thai University like Sripatum University, Burapha University, Rajamangala University and many more. And then from our own country there's 20 students from UI itself, 5 students from each university like Gunadarma, Bi-nus, Atma Jaya, Pancasila, UMJ, IPB, Tarumanegara, and UNJ.

It's starts at 8.00 but we ( you may had to know that we refers to me, dery, yuyun, ranti and adi which was the participants to represent Gunadarma University, our beloved campus.. Oh and also there's Mrs. Ati Harmony also accompanied us.. ) had to arrived at campus at 7.00 because there's some part that we had to discuss about. So after we arrived at UI Convention Center we've got some souvenirs from UI itself like notebook, pen, guidebook, pin and a small batik bag that has "Indonesia-Thailand Student Network 2009" written on it. It's a pretty much nice souvenirs i guess..

At the Bus(Tour around UI)
And then suddenly the UI staff asked us to get into the bus that already contains Thailand student on it to take a small tour around UI. After we got in to the bus, all Thailand student welcoming us very warmly, friendly and nicely...They even clapped their hands when we come in....what an amazing welcome i think... On the way around UI, we've all been busy chatting and taking a photo while the tour guide explaining about what's inside the UI,, i really thought that's some big part of us hadn't listen to the tour guide or paying atention through the bus windows.. Everybody is busy like in the market, but of course there's a different because we're not selling or buying anything from each other..we just talked and try to get to know each other. Geez, the Thai student surely know well about how to make a friends... Some of them was surely fun and friendly...

Back to The UI Convention Center Hall (Bahasa Indonesia Lesson)
After we're touring around the UI campus and already knowing each other (well, at least knowing their name is enough for me because i think their name was not easy to said, but their nick name was really short, like :Yong, Song, Nui, Poom, Allif and etc..) we gathered at UI CC Hall... We sat and still continuing talked to each other...oh my God the Hall suddenly became very full and noisy because of us.. After that the UI staff tried to talk to us through the microphone so that we could listen what she said and start the activity. After all of us has sat down and being a little quiet, The Deputy Head of International Office gave us a warm welcoming speech and introduction to Education System at UI. And then we divided into groups that consist 10 student mix Indo-Thai( 3 Indonesian, 7 Thailand). Me and the others from Gunadarma was separated from each other. I was in group 7. And then after the dividing we're starting the Bahasa Indonesia lesson. It's kind of amazing to seen how they've really tried to learn and saying something in our language and it's surprisingly because they did it very well. I think maybe it happens to us too when we want to learnt other language. And it's hard seriously.. I learn a few Thai language from my Thai Friends Yong and Allif they taught me this word :

- sawadhi khrap : How are you?
- dee : fine

- khoon cheuu a rai :What is your name?
- chan cheuu.. : My name is...(for female)
- phohm cheuu: My name is...(for male)
- chan rak khoon : i love you
- khit theung khoon : i miss you
- khit theung thook khohn : i miss you all
- chan : Me (for female)
- phohm: Me (for male)
- khaawp
khoon kha : Thank you (for Female)
-
khaawp khoon khrap : Thank you (for male)

So, what do you think? it's not easy to said it too,right?hehehe....
Ok.. i think this enough fort this part... This journey experience will continuing on part 2... :)
